The Katsina State Safety and Road Traffic Authority (KASSAROTA) has restated its commitment to ensuring safety, order, and discipline on all roads across the state.

The assurance was given by the Director General of the Authority, Major Garba Yahaya Rimi (rtd), during an interactive session with stakeholders in Funtua, organised by the Funtua Patriotic Foundation to address challenges between the Authority and the public.

Major Rimi explained that KASSAROTA was established to safeguard lives and property by promoting strict adherence to road safety regulations. He noted that the Authority is intensifying efforts to reduce road accidents and enhance the safety of motorists and pedestrians statewide.

He appreciated Governor Dikko Umaru Radda for his continuous support in strengthening KASSAROTA’s operations.

The State Commandant, Alhaji Dahiru Mani Bagiwa, also reaffirmed the Authority’s determination to enforce full compliance with traffic laws across public roads.

Earlier, the Chairman of Funtua Local Government, Alhaji Abdulmutallib Sulaiman Goya—represented by the Director of Education and Social Development, Sulaiman Hassan Danja—pledged continued support for KASSAROTA’s mandate.

The Director General of the Funtua Patriotic Foundation, Aminu Lawal, said the meeting was aimed at strengthening mutual understanding between the Authority and the public.

Other dignitaries in attendance included representatives of the Sarkin Maska District Head, NURTW, NARTO, ACCOMOROS, and traders’ associations.
