The Katsina State Commissioner of Police, CP Bello Shehu, has charged newly passed-out police constables deployed to the command to uphold discipline, integrity, and professionalism in the discharge of their duties.

The Commissioner gave the charge on Friday, October 24, 2025, while addressing the new officers at the state command headquarters in Katsina.

He congratulated them on completing their training and reminded them that discipline remains the foundation of effective policing and a key element of public trust in the Nigeria Police Force.

CP Shehu urged the new constables to avoid corrupt practices, resist all forms of temptation, and always act with transparency and accountability. He noted that their conduct would determine how the public perceives the Force.

He also encouraged them to serve with dedication, honour, and courtesy, stressing the importance of maintaining a positive relationship with the communities they serve.

The Commissioner reaffirmed the command’s commitment to maintaining professionalism and strengthening public confidence in the police.
