The first day of a youth training workshop on digital currency, known as cryptocurrency, has commenced in Katsina. The programme is organised by the Katsina Vocational Training Centre (KVC) in collaboration with the Paracha Family from Abuja.

The training, which began on Saturday, October 25, 2025, aims to educate young people on how cryptocurrency works and how to protect themselves from potential financial losses in the trade.

Speaking at the event, Malam Danjuma Katsina, who oversees the activities of KVC, gave an overview of the centre’s history and its contributions to empowering young people through various vocational skills.

He urged the participants to take the training seriously and assured them that after the exercise, their names would be forwarded to the Katsina State Enterprise Development Agency (KASEDA) for possible support to help them grow their businesses.

The resource person, Malam Abubakar Gwani Salisu from Kano State, explained to the trainees the fundamentals of cryptocurrency, its benefits, and the measures to minimise risks associated with the trade.

The training continues on Sunday, October 26, 2025.
