The Katsina State House of Assembly has commended the Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Katsina State, Maxwell Kaltungo Lede, for his outstanding leadership and commitment to road safety in the state.

In a commendation letter dated March 4, 2026, and signed by the Clerk of the House, Kabir Yuguda, the Assembly praised the commander’s dedication and efforts in promoting road safety and reducing traffic accidents across the state.

According to the lawmakers, Commander Lede has demonstrated remarkable commitment in mobilising public cooperation and strengthening collaboration among stakeholders to safeguard the lives of motorists and other road users.

The Assembly particularly highlighted his continuous public enlightenment campaigns, strict enforcement of traffic regulations, and initiatives aimed at promoting responsible road use.

It noted that his leadership has strengthened public confidence in the FRSC and improved cooperation between the agency and communities in the collective effort to reduce road crashes and protect lives and property.

In his response, Commander Lede expressed appreciation to the Assembly for the recognition, dedicating the honour to the numerous partners and stakeholders supporting the activities of the FRSC in the state.

He also commended hospital response teams and medical personnel for their prompt intervention and professionalism in attending to victims of road crashes.

The FRSC Sector Commander reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening partnerships and intensifying efforts to improve road safety awareness and compliance with traffic regulations across Katsina State.
