Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has commiserated with the Coordinator of the Community Development Programme (CDP), Associate Professor Kamaladden Kabir, over the death of his stepmother, Hajia Sa’adatu Kabir.
Hajia Sa’adatu Kabir, aged 75, died on Tuesday after a protracted illness and was buried the same day in accordance with Islamic rites.
She is survived by 10 children and was described as a devoted mother who cared deeply for her family.
Governor Radda described her death as a painful loss, noting her dedication to her family and those around her.
"We have lost a mother who spent her life caring for her family. Her passing is painful, but we take solace in the life she lived and the family she left behind," the Governor said.
He urged the family to remain steadfast in faith and accept the death as the will of Almighty Allah.
"At a time like this, I urge the family to remain strong. We pray that Almighty Allah forgives her shortcomings and rewards her good deeds," he said.
Governor Radda assured the family of the solidarity and prayers of the Government and people of Katsina State.
"On behalf of the Government and people of Katsina State, I extend my condolences to Associate Professor Kamaladden Kabir, the children and the entire family. May Allah give them the strength to bear this great loss," he added.
He prayed Almighty Allah to grant Hajia Sa’adatu Kabir Aljannatul Firdaus and give her family the patience and strength to bear her loss.
