The Umaru Musa Yar’adua University (UMYU), Katsina, has commenced a comprehensive rebranding exercise aimed at repositioning the institution and strengthening its corporate identity, values and strategic direction in line with emerging trends in higher education.
The Council and Management of the University disclosed this in a press release issued by the Secretary of the UMYU Rebranding Committee.
According to the statement, the exercise will involve a review of key aspects of the University's identity, including its mission and vision statements, logo, official colours and anthem.
The University said the initiative represents an important step towards building a stronger institutional identity, improving its visibility and attractiveness, and aligning its activities with national and international academic and research standards.
As part of the exercise, UMYU has invited members of the general public to submit creative and meaningful proposals that would contribute to the rebranding process.
The University particularly encouraged proposals that reflect the institution's environment, core values and aspirations for the future.
“The Management appreciates the support and commitment of members of the University community and the general public and looks forward to their active participation in this important exercise,” the statement said.
