Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has accepted his appointment as the Katsina State Coordinator of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid.
Radda, who is also seeking a second term as governor of the state, said he was ready to lead the party’s campaign and grassroots mobilisation efforts across Katsina.
In a statement on Sunday, the governor pledged to mobilise APC members, party leaders, community leaders, youths, women and other stakeholders across the state’s 361 wards in support of President Tinubu’s re-election.
He expressed appreciation to President Tinubu and the APC national leadership for the confidence placed in him, while commending the appointment of other indigenes of Katsina State to positions within the Presidential Campaign Council.
Radda said the experience and commitment of Katsina members of the council would strengthen the APC’s campaign and contribute to the party’s electoral success in 2027.
He also urged APC leaders, campaign council members and stakeholders across the state to intensify grassroots mobilisation and work towards maintaining unity within the party ahead of the elections.
“We demonstrated our strength and commitment to the APC in 2023. This is another opportunity for us to work even harder, remain united and mobilise our people for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“We are ready for the task, and Katsina State will play its full part in delivering victory for the President and our great party,” Radda said.
The governor’s appointment comes as the APC begins preparations for the 2027 general elections, with the party expected to intensify its nationwide mobilisation and campaign activities in the months ahead.
