Shettima Declares Open 2025 PPP Summit, Reiterates Tinubu’s Commitment to Infrastructure Development
Calls for Innovation and Integrity in Public-Private Partnerships
Vice President Kashim Shettima, on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has officially declared open the 2025 Nigeria Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Summit, held at the State House Conference Centre, Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Delivering the President’s message at the event, the Vice President emphasized the administration’s unwavering commitment to fast-tracking approvals for viable infrastructural projects nationwide. He stressed that what matters most to the average Nigerian is access to basic infrastructure such as electricity, roads, healthcare facilities, and quality education.
Shettima called for a more dynamic and result-driven partnership between the public and private sectors, noting that innovation, efficiency, commitment, and integrity should take precedence over mere financial investment.
He further urged private sector stakeholders to stay focused and deeply committed to national development, highlighting that Nigeria offers a unique advantage in terms of scale, market demand, and high returns on investment—opportunities unmatched across the African continent.
The summit is part of the government’s ongoing strategy to leverage private sector expertise and funding to accelerate national infrastructure growth.
