Governor Radda Engages Ex-National Assembly Members on Katsina Development

Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, on Thursday hosted former National Assembly members from the state to a consultative meeting at Government House, Katsina.


The meeting, held under the aegis of the Forum of Former Members of the House of Representatives, brought together ex-lawmakers who served from 1970 to date.


Governor Radda said the administration would tap into the experience and institutional knowledge of the former legislators to advance governance, unity and development in the state.

He acknowledged their contributions to the political and democratic growth of Katsina State and Nigeria, and described them as critical stakeholders in nation building.


Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Alhaji Adamu Sule Jibia commended the Governor for his commitment to good governance, infrastructure development and the welfare of the people.


Other former lawmakers also lauded the administration’s projects and programmes across the state, and described the engagement as vital for consultation and collective input into government policies.


The meeting was attended by the Secretary to the State Government, Barr. Abdullahi Garba Faskari, members of the State Executive Council and other top government officials.
