The Katsina State Coordinator of the Community Development Programme (CDP), Associate professor Kamaladdeen Kabir, has reaffirmed Governor Dikko Umar Radda’s commitment to implementing development projects that have a direct impact on communities across the state.

Associate professor Kamaladeen Kabir stated this when he received members of the Danmarna Primary School Old Boys Class of 1998, who paid him a courtesy visit at his office.

He said that, within his three years in office, Governor Radda had implemented several projects aimed at improving the lives of residents, particularly through the CDP’s community-driven development approach.

The Coordinator, who is also a member of the 1998 set, called on his former classmates to support Governor Radda’s bid for a second term in office.

He assured the group of his continued support and assistance and expressed appreciation for the visit.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Danmarna Primary School Old Boys Class of 1998, Malam Muhammad Iyal Ashiru, said the visit was organised to congratulate Dr. Kabir on his appointment as Katsina State CDP Coordinator.

He thanked Governor Radda for appointing one of their members to lead the programme and pledged the group’s support and cooperation towards the governor’s second-term bid.

Speaking during the visit, Dr. Kabir encouraged the organisation to continue supporting the Radda administration in its efforts to promote infrastructure development and human capital development across the state.

He also expressed the CDP’s readiness to support the organisation in achieving its aims and objectives.

Earlier, the Chairman of Katsina Social Merit Initiatives, Engineer Mukhtar Rafukka, represented by the organisation’s Public Relations Officer, Malam Nura Nasiru, explained that the group was established to support orphans and other vulnerable persons.

The group is also engaging on sensitising young people on the dangers of drug abuse, promote political awareness, and provide educational materials to schools, among other activities.

Engineer Rafukka commended the Radda administration for its efforts to improve the socioeconomic wellbeing of residents and pledged the organisation’s support for the governor’s re-election in the 2027 general elections.

He also appealed to the State CDP Coordinator to support the organisation’s activities to enable it to achieve its stated objectives.
