Katsina Police Deploy More Personnel to Secure Yuletide Celebrations

The Katsina State Police Command has deployed additional personnel and resources across the state to ensure the safety and security of residents during the 2025 yuletide celebrations.

The Command said the deployment was part of proactive measures aimed at preventing and curbing criminal activities and other social vices that often increase during the festive period. It added that patrols and surveillance have been intensified in strategic locations across the state.

Speaking on the preparations, the Commissioner of Police in Katsina State, CP Bello Shehu, psc, fdc, MNIM, urged residents to remain vigilant and take responsibility for their personal safety, particularly in crowded areas. He advised members of the public to be mindful of their belongings and surroundings.

CP Bello Shehu also encouraged residents to promptly report any suspicious movements or individuals to the nearest police station or through the Command’s emergency lines: 08156977777, 07072722539, and 09022209690.

In addition, the Police Command appealed to motorists to avoid speeding and to comply with traffic rules and regulations in order to prevent accidents and ensure smooth traffic flow throughout the festive period.

While wishing Christian faithfuls a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, the Commissioner of Police reassured residents of the Command’s commitment to maintaining peace and security across Katsina State during and after the yuletide celebrations.
