Malumfashi/Kafur Constituents Urge Bature Masari to Contest Reps Seat

Residents of Malumfashi/Kafur Federal Constituency in Katsina State have called on Hon. Bature Masari, former Chief of Staff to ex-Governor Rt. Hon. Aminu Bello Masari, to contest for a seat in the House of Representatives.

The call followed a series of consultations initiated by a volunteer group of concerned citizens across the constituency.

Sources involved in the process said the consultations brought together key stakeholders, including elders, community leaders, youth groups and sociocultural organisations, to deliberate on the political direction of the constituency.

The move, according to the sources, has received positive responses from various communities, with several groups already holding meetings and mobilising support to persuade Masari to accept the call.

Proponents of the initiative said the effort is aimed at ensuring credible, effective and people-oriented representation for Malumfashi/Kafur at the National Assembly.

As of the time of filing this report, Hon. Bature Masari has yet to publicly respond to the calls urging him to join the race.
