A three-day Financial, Business and Digital Literacy training for women entrepreneurs has concluded in Katsina State, with participants gaining practical skills to strengthen and grow their businesses.
The training, held from April 17 to 19 and organized by Ideas and Data Global Academy, brought together women entrepreneurs from across the state for intensive sessions focused on financial management, business development, and digital tools.
Facilitators at the programme guided participants on understanding the business environment, managing financial risks, and adopting effective marketing strategies. Key areas covered included safeguarding finances, making informed borrowing decisions, and positioning businesses for sustainable growth.

Participants were also introduced to structured approaches in budgeting, pricing, customer engagement, and the use of digital platforms for business expansion. Observers noted a significant shift in mindset among attendees, moving from informal practices to more organized and strategic business methods.
The training featured interactive sessions designed to build confidence, promote independence, and encourage long-term sustainability among women-led enterprises. Organizers emphasized that the initiative goes beyond knowledge transfer, aiming to equip participants with real-life tools to improve household financial decisions, access funding opportunities, and build networks for business and investment.

The programme was coordinated by Yusuf Umar Usman, Umar Mustapha Kutawa, and Zahrau Rabiu Ibrahim Hamisu, with support from Auwal A Rafindadi, Ibrahim Abubakar Shehu, and Abubakar Muazu Bello.
Stakeholders highlighted that empowering women with relevant business skills has far-reaching effects, contributing not only to business success but also to the development of families and communities.
