Governor Radda Lauds Tinubu Reforms as First Lady Unveils National Community Food Bank Project in Jigawa

Katsina State Governor and Chairman of the North-West Governors' Forum, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, on Monday lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his bold economic reforms and visionary leadership aimed at repositioning Nigeria for sustainable growth and prosperity. 


Governor Radda made this known during the commissioning of the National Community Food Bank (North-West) and other landmark projects in Jigawa State by the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu.


Senator Oluremi Tinubu unveiled and commissioned Nigeria's first-ever National Community Food Bank alongside several strategic projects aimed at strengthening food security, healthcare, education, and sustainable development across the North-West region.


The projects commissioned include the National Community Food Bank (North-West), the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Academy, the rehabilitated 29-kilometre Hadejia–Garun Gabas Road, Oluremi Tinubu Clinics, and other key infrastructure designed to improve the quality of life of the people.


Speaking at the event, Governor Radda described the National Community Food Bank as a historic milestone and a groundbreaking intervention that reflects Senator Oluremi Tinubu's unwavering commitment to addressing food insecurity and supporting vulnerable Nigerians.


 "This initiative is the first of its kind in the history of our nation. It reflects Your Excellency's compassion, vision, and unwavering commitment to improving the welfare of Nigerians, particularly the most vulnerable members of our society," Governor Radda said.


Governor Radda also expressed profound appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing him as the Asiwaju of Africa and Jagaban of Africa, while commending his administration's bold economic and governance reforms aimed at repositioning Nigeria for sustainable growth and prosperity.

 "We equally appreciate His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Asiwaju of Africa and Jagaban of Africa, for the courageous reforms and visionary leadership he continues to provide in building a stronger, more prosperous, and resilient Nigeria," he stated.


The Governor further congratulated Governor Umar Namadi for the remarkable developmental strides recorded under his administration, noting that the projects commissioned during the visit are clear evidence of visionary leadership, prudent resource management, and an unwavering commitment to improving the lives of the people.


"The impressive infrastructure, education, healthcare, and social development projects we have witnessed today are clear evidence of Governor Umar Namadi's commitment to delivering meaningful dividends of democracy," he added.


Governor Radda also acknowledged the contributions of the First Lady of Jigawa State, commending her steadfast support for programmes and initiatives that promote the welfare of women, children, and other vulnerable groups across the state.


He thanked Senator Oluremi Tinubu for honouring the invitation to the North-West and reaffirmed the commitment of the region's governors to advancing food security, quality healthcare, education, and inclusive development.


The event brought together Minister of State for FCT, Hajiya Mariya Mahmoud Bunkure; Minister of State for Education, Prof. Suwaiba Sa’id Ahmad and northwest leaders including Governors Uba Sani of  Kaduna,  Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano, Dauda Lawal of Zamfara,  Ahmed Aliyu of Sokoto and Nasir Idris of Kebbi State.
