Adefiranye Calls for APC Unity, Backs Party Decisions Ahead of 2027 Polls

Festus Adefiranye, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo/Odigbo Federal Constituency, has appealed to party members to remain calm, united and committed to the party’s collective goals as preparations for the 2027 general elections gather momentum.

Speaking during a victory walk organised by APC supporters across the constituency, Adefiranye urged members dissatisfied with recent political developments to respect the party’s decisions and avoid actions capable of creating divisions within its ranks.

The serving lawmaker, who is seeking re-election to the House of Representatives, stressed that unity would be crucial to the party’s success in the next election cycle.

According to him, APC members must put aside personal interests and work together to sustain development and secure electoral victories across all levels.

“Unity remains our greatest strength. We must stay focused, close ranks and work collectively to ensure continuity, progress and people-centred governance,” he said.

Adefiranye described his relationship with fellow aspirants and party leaders as cordial, noting that political competition should not undermine the bond that exists within the party.

He maintained that the APC National Working Committee had concluded its nomination process and produced candidates through a credible exercise, urging members to disregard narratives aimed at sowing discord.

“The party has made its decisions and members should rally behind all candidates. There is no reason for unnecessary agitation or division. Our focus should be on strengthening the party ahead of the elections,” he added.

The lawmaker also expressed appreciation to President Bola Tinubu, the APC leadership and the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, for what he described as a transparent and credible nomination process.

Also speaking, Olatunji Ifabiyi, a member of the Ondo State House of Assembly representing Odigbo Constituency I, called on party faithful to maintain unity and intensify grassroots mobilisation efforts ahead of future campaigns.

He described the APC as a family bound by a common purpose and urged members to remain committed to ensuring victory for the party at the polls.

Former Ondo State Commissioner, Yetunde Adeyanju, praised Adefiranye’s emergence as the party’s candidate, describing it as a reflection of the confidence reposed in him by constituents due to his performance and dedication to effective representation.

She encouraged him to sustain people-focused initiatives and maintain close engagement with residents, assuring him of continued support from stakeholders across the constituency.

Party leaders at the event also reaffirmed their confidence in the leadership of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and expressed optimism that the APC would remain united and formidable as the 2027 elections approach.
