In less than two years of it's existence, the Katsina State Community Development Program (CDP) has excelled and proved it's mettle as the state government's purpose service delivery vehicle.
Through the CDP, the KTSG, under the able leadership of His Excellency Malam Dikko Umaru Radda PhD, has successfully implemented various programs that touched the lives of the people at the grassroots, especially women and farmers.
1. Distribution of Goats to empower women.
2. Distribution of Free fertiliser to dry season farmers.
3. Sales and Distribution of fertiliser to wet season farmers across the state.
4. Distribution of grains to fight malnutrition.
5. Distribution of free water pumping machines to dry season farmers.
6. Distribution of empowerment to 20 women per ward across the 361 wards of the state.
7. Distribution of 10No. subsidised price solar powered water pumping machines per ward to the dry season farmers.
8. Sales and Distribution of 8No. subsidized price power Tilling Machines to farmers in each ward.
9. Cash empowerment of N50,000 to vulnerable individuals .
10. Distribution of 25KG rice with N10,000 to 20 selected widows in each ward across the state.
11. 94 No. of 10KG bags of rice to vulnerable people in each ward of the state
12. Motorcycles at subsidised price to our staff (CDO's, CSOs and CLOs).
12. Most importantly, the CDP has
succeeded in integrating the common man into governance, through the Community Level Committees, that held pre-budget summits at all the 361 wards of the state and subsequent periodic meetings where issues of common concern and interest are discussed.
