Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has claimed an estimated 80 per cent reduction in security threats across the state, attributing the development to measures introduced by his administration.

Radda made the statement on Thursday during the Tinubu-Dikko 2027 campaign rally in Sabuwa Local Government Area, where he also highlighted projects and programmes implemented by his government.

The governor listed the renovation of secondary schools, improvements to healthcare facilities and hospitals, and youth empowerment programmes among interventions carried out in Sabuwa.

He assured residents of Sabuwa town, Unguwar Iya, Sayyawa and Tashan Bawa that his administration would sustain efforts to address infrastructure, education, healthcare and youth empowerment needs.

According to him, his administration is focused on delivering measurable results rather than making promises without fulfilling them.

On security, Radda pledged to sustain efforts to protect lives and property and consolidate the gains recorded across the state.

He also urged traditional rulers, political leaders, youths, women and other stakeholders to support government initiatives aimed at improving security and accelerating development.

Earlier, the Director-General of the Tinubu-Dikko 2027 Campaign Council, Arch. Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, commended residents for their turnout at the rally.

Dangiwa said Sabuwa had benefited from several government interventions, assuring residents that ongoing and pending projects, particularly critical link roads requested by the community, would be completed.

He said the projects were intended to improve transportation, connect communities, promote commercial activities and enhance residents' livelihoods.

The Katsina State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Bishir Gambo Saulawa, also commended the governor's development initiatives in Sabuwa and other parts of the state.

Similarly, the senator representing Funtua Senatorial District, Alhaji Muntari Dandutse, pledged to collaborate with the governor and other elected representatives to attract more development projects and strengthen security.

The House of Representatives candidate for Kankara, Sabuwa and Faskari Federal Constituency, Hon. Hamza Sule, and the Sabuwa State Constituency candidate, Hon. Ibrahim Kaka, called for stronger collaboration between the state government and elected representatives to improve infrastructure and grassroots empowerment.

Following the rally, Governor Radda commissioned the remodelled Sabuwa Local Government Lodge, which was renovated by the local government council chairman.

The event was attended by Deputy Governor Faruk Lawal Jobe, Vice Chairman of the Campaign Council Dr Mustapha Inuwa, political appointees, APC leaders and other stakeholders.
