The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Sen. Bola Ahmed Tinubu has commiserated with government and people of Katsina State over the passing of the two prominent figures in the State.
President Tinubu extends his condolences through the Vice President, Sen. Kashim Shettima who visited the residences of the late Ambassador Zakari Ibrahim, former National Intelligence Agency (NIA) Director-Gener, and the late Alhaji Ahmadu Kurfi, the District Head of Kurfi and first Executive Secretary of FEDECO.
At the palace of the late Maradin Katsina, the Vice President delegation was received by former Minister of Agriculture Dr. Samaila Mamman Kurfi; NNDC Chairman and Ajiyan Katsina Dr. Lamis Shehu Dikko, former Minister of State for Education Lawal Batagarawa, and family members.
Speaking during the visit, Vice President Shettima eulogized the late Alhaji Ahmadu Kurfi as one of Nigeria's distinguished elder statesmen, noting that his passing represents a significant loss not only to his immediate family but to the nation at large.
In a similar vein, the Vice President proceeded to the residence of the late Ambassador Zakari Ibrahim, where he was received by the eldest son of the deceased, Malam Ibrahim Zakari Ibrahim; former Chairman of the National Intelligence Agency, Ahmed Rufai and Minister of Aviation, Senator Hadi Sarika.
On behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Vice President, Sen. Shettima extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, the Government, and people of Katsina State, while praying for Allah's forgiveness for the deceased and strength for the families to bear their losses.
