We Northerners had better start protesting our woes, because nobody will give what is deliberately denied to us on a platter of gold. The nonsense that is dished out to us will not be TOLERATED elsewhere in Nigeria. The only thing that the Northern appeared to be good at is speaking and acting ILL about his fellow Northern.

Anyway, docility and lamentation will not get us anywhere, far less provide us with the solution we are looking for, whatever the problem which is worrying us may be. Some of the Northerners may be as rich as Croesus, but they would rather get more for themselves than help fellow Northerners.

The owners of the electricity distribution company, Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO), are always smiling to the bank courtesy of the money they extort from us. On our part, only DARKNESS is what we get from them. And whenever we are late in our payment for the DARKNESS we get, they threatened to’ ‘cut’ the line that provides us with the DARKNESS. This should not be the case.

The National Assembly (NASS) and Northern states Houses of Assembly members, are busy taking very good care of themselves to worry for the worries of the poor citizens. The NASS members have their price, and the president knows it. The members of the Northern states Assemblies have their own price, and the governors know that. This should not be the case.

The FTC Minister, Nyson Wike has claimed that N2,000 is all one needed to give a northerner to get his vote. Another person disagreed, saying that as little as N500 will do the same thing. The latter was unfortunately proven right, when some ‘cheap’ women received N500 and Abaya (body and head covering for female) each to welcome President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to Kaduna 

But a government official or a sycophant was shown on a video clip in the social media swearing to high heaven that nobody was given a Naira to welcome the president to Kaduna state. That they did what they did “because they love President Tinubu”. The claim was therefore rubbished by the women themselves, who sang and danced, announcing that they were each given N500 plus the Abaya, to join the road side queue to ‘welcome’ the president.

That is the typical North West of the Northern region. If four times the amount of electricity is given to the entire Southern region, the people, particularly their youth, would have long taken their anger to the streets (protests) until the region gets enough, or what the other regions are getting. In ONLY the DOCILE North leaders can get away with anything they wish. Let it be known that the DOCILITY has nothing to do with RELIGION, because God abhors CHEATING of any kind, on humans or animals.

The ‘cheating’ on the Northern part of the country in the area of power (electricity) started right from the start of the present Republic (4th) when as a result, manufacturing industries started to disappear from the states in the region. The textile industry disappeared overnight particularly in Kaduna and Kano, other industries such as confectionery, edible products and household products, also follow suit.

But the situation is more pathetic NOW, as all but an insignificant number of manufacturing industries closed due to the lack of power from the Distribution Company of Nigeria. Not long ago, it distributed, as follows, to the Distribution Companies (DISCOS) in the country; 3 319mw for the DISCOS in the Southern region, and 160mw for DISCOS in the entire Northern region, minus Abuja DISCO, which got 895mw.

 

This shows a whopping difference of 3,159mw between what Southern Nigeria (President’s home region) got, and what the Northern region got. The disparity clearly indicates that President Tinubu is trying his best to bring the North down to its knees, with the active participation of some THOROUGHLY Northerners who would sell their mother if lots of money would be realised at the end.

Some of the so called political elites from the North have stooped so low, INSISTING on the CONTINUATION of the Tinubu regime beyond 2017, despite all his ill doings, and intentions for the Region. A second term will obviously give him enough time to finish with the NORTHERN REGION what he started during his first term (NOW) in office as the President of Nigeria. All for their selfish interests.

May God rid Northern Nigeria of people who, no matter their age, desire to continue getting humongous amount of money by means fair and foul, so that it may be said that they have left a humongous wealth to their children. As die they MUST, no matter how long they stay in this world.
