On Northern Emirates Again.

Governor of Adamawa State, Honourable Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has reportedly sent a bill to the state’s house of Assembly seeking its approval for the creation and appointment of a deputy for the Lamido of Adamawa. The bill is said to have reached the second reading, and if it scales through, the respected monarch will have a deputy, who will be taking over the affairs of the emirate, in the event that the royal father has travelled out of the state for any reason.

From the point of view of many Northerners, the move is designed to continue giving the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) the edge during the 2027 presidential election. The emirates in Kano and Sokoto states have been rendered less powerful by the subtle nudging of the federal government, with a view to dividing the Muslim North for electoral gain.

The same game plan is being played in Katsina state, where some lawmakers from Katsina State House of Assembly (KTSHA) are said to be preparing to present a bill to the Speaker wanting the Katsina Emirate Council to be divided into six emirates from the one it has been over the years.

The next state may be Kaduna state, where the Emir of Zazzau, the premier emir in the state, may be targeted out for the same treatment. The emir was appointed by the immediate past Governor of the State, Malam Nasir El-Rufa’i, who is at loggerheads with his successor, and in the bad book of the president of the country. Perhaps elsewhere in the region, after the ‘next’ target is ‘reduced in influence’.

Why are these tampering with the traditional rulers happening only in the Northern part of the country, if the motive is not ill intentioned? Nothing of that nature has ever occurred in the Southern part of the country.

In an article I wrote on 16-05-25, and titled, ‘How President Tinubu Is Destroying The North By Stealth’, I asked the N1 billion question, “Why is the destruction of the traditional institution limited to the North, the North West in particular, where the president is said to have been responsible for winning the 2013 election? If it is a coincidence, then it is too much of one, otherwise, something similar should have been happening in other parts of the country.

“Why is the destruction of the kings not happening in the South? The president is said not have won his home state of Lagos, or Enugu state, where Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Babatunde Aremu Akiolu, and Igwe Samuel Ikechukwu Asadu respectively, were not subjected to the negative fate that their Northern counterparts were subjected to.

I also stated that “There is also no security, and the situation will be worsened as maintaining it (security) in the area has been handed over to the US and France by the present régime of President Tinubu. The African based military of the two countries were sacked ignominiously from three former French colonies, as they were suspected of being behind the insecurity buffeting their hosts countries.

“The President (Tinubu) himself announced the imminent arrival of the French, after many denials by senior military officials and other top government officials, while the Junior Minister of defence, Honourable Bello Matawalle, announced that the US Africa force was relocating to Nigeria (to help the host) maintain security in the area. INCREASE, would be a better description of the job thy would perform in the mineral rich Northern Nigeria”.

The Northern part of the country has already been ‘conquered’ by the present regime, with the knowing and active connivance of some greedy and unpatriotic Northern politicians, whose only concern is to get more money and high office in the country.

Since the number one citizen came to power in May 29th, the North has been battling with the absence of electricity, so much so that TODAY getting two hours in one week in most parts of the region is considered a ‘victory’. Except of the so called Federal Capital, Abuja, most of the North often served with DARKNESS, not light, for days on end. This is regardless of which ‘Band’ one belongs to.

According to someone who was in Lagos recently, the area he stayed at for two months was “served with electricity constantly so much that things in their freezers remained frozen all the time”. A far cry for the North, unless for those in the region who have an alternative.

I concluded the previous article with the prayer requesting God to keep a long distance between the North and the unwell leaders of Nigeria, who are only too happy, ready, and willing to hand over the country to foreign powers that will add to the problems of the area. The US and France, among others, are the last countries that are friends with Islam and Muslims. The two countries, in particular, do not like the religion and its adherents one little bit.

The conclusion of this write up is the same as before, with the addition that ‘may He also not allow those whose Evil intention is to break deceptively the Northern emirates, one by one, to see the light of the day’.
