The Katsina State chapter of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) has reaffirmed its unity and commitment to reclaiming power in the state and across Nigeria, following an expanded caucus meeting held on Saturday, July 13, 2025, at the party’s secretariat in Katsina.
The well-attended meeting brought together party leaders, stakeholders, and supporters from across the state to deliberate on pressing issues affecting the party’s direction and future.
In a communiqué released after the meeting, the party declared that it remains “strong, united, and indivisible” under the leadership of Senator Yakubu Lado Danmarke. The caucus expressed confidence in the state leadership and lauded the national leadership of the party, led by Acting National Chairman Ambassador Umar Ilya Damagun.
The caucus also passed a vote of confidence in the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC), Board of Trustees (BoT), and the PDP Governors' Forum, praising their efforts in steering the party through challenging political times.
The meeting further commended the ongoing work of the Reconciliation Committee, urging all party faithful to cooperate fully to ensure lasting internal peace and cohesion across all levels.
On national politics, the party distanced itself from any coalition not formally endorsed by its leadership. It called on patriotic Nigerians to align with the PDP to end what it described as the “tyranny of the APC government.”
Looking ahead to the 2027 general elections, the Katsina PDP resolved to intensify grassroots mobilisation and strategic planning aimed at securing victory at all levels.
The communiqué was signed by Hon. Muhammad Nura Amadi, the State PDP Chairman.
