Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, on Thursday evening received the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of First Bank of Nigeria, Mr. Segun Alebiosu, at the Government House, Katsina.
The visit, according to Mr. Alebiosu, was aimed at extending condolences to Governor Radda over the death of former President Muhammadu Buhari, welcoming him back from a medical trip following a minor road accident, and felicitating with him on his 56th birthday.
During the meeting, the First Bank CEO offered special prayers for the late President Buhari, seeking divine mercy and forgiveness for him. He also prayed for Governor Radda’s continued good health and protection, while commending the governor’s reform-driven policies and people-oriented programmes that are boosting growth and development across Katsina State.
Governor Radda, in his remarks, expressed deep appreciation to Mr. Alebiosu and his delegation for the solidarity visit, describing it as both thoughtful and reassuring. He said such gestures of goodwill strengthen the relationship between the government and the private sector.
Mr. Alebiosu was accompanied by Shehu Aliyu, Executive Director (Public Sector), Alhaji Ibrahim Ali Bala Kuki, Chairman, Board of Directors of Norrenberger Financial Services Group, Aliyu Mashi, Regional Manager North of First Bank, and Usman Lawal, Area Controller (North) of International Energy Insurance Plc.
Also in attendance were the Katsina State Accountant General, Nura Tela, and the Special Adviser to the Governor on Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Usman Abba Jaye.
