The Special Adviser to Governor Dikko Umar Radda on Political Matters, Alhaji Ya'u Umar Gwajo-Gwajo, has felicitated with the people of the state on the 38th Anniversary of the state's creation.
In a statement made available to newsmen in Katsina, Gwajo-Gwajo said the state is in good hands under the stewardship of Malam Dikko Umaru Radda who is providing quality leadership with honesty and utmost dedication.
"On this occasion of the 38th Anniversary of the creation of Katsina State, I heartily congratulate the people of the state, the state has come a long way and achieved great heights.
"The state attained the peak of its development under the competent leadership of Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, Ph.D, who has laid a solid foundation for its sustainable social-economic and political development.
"During his campaign tour, he met with the people of the various wards across the state, and he came up with a development roadmap in each sector, since he became governor he has been implementing this multiysectral blueprint with much success.
"In less than two years, Malam Dikko Radda has constructed about 70 km of roads across rural and urban centers as well as drainages, culverts and other erosion control projects and installed street lights in major urban centers.
"He has also dualized many roads within Katsina metropolis under the ongoing Urban Renewal projects which is also being implemented in Funtua and Daura.
"He also employed 7,200 teachers to boost manpower in the education sector, and this is the largest teacher recruitment in the history of Katsina State, he also built dozens of new schools and renovated and equipped hundreds of existing schools.
"He also renovated 722 primary healthcare centers and dispenseries in the 361 wards across the state and built doctors quarters in 361 of the PHCs, he also upgraded some comprehensive health centers to General Hospitals.
"He has also trained 722 agric extension workers, distributed tractors, sprayers, harvesters and other farming implements and procured 20,000 metric tons of fertilizers in the 2025 wet season farming to boost agriculture.
"He also distributed 56,000 goats with feeds and other logistics to encourage livestock production and support the livestock value chain.
"Malam Dikko Umaru Radda has also encouraged Islamic discipline and morality in the state by creating the Hizba Board, and is promoting economic prosperity through the establishment of the Zakkat and Waqf Board.
"The governor has achieved so much within just two years that even the opposition have acknowledged the sense of direction in the leadership of Katsina State at the moment, we have received many decampees from various opposition parties, they want to be part of the success story", Gwajo-Gwajo said.
While calling on the people of the state to continue to support and pray for the states and the Malam Dikko Radda administration, Gwajo-Gwajo wished them many more fruitful years of statehood.
