A House of Representatives aspirant, Dr. Aminu Garba Waziri, has begun a consultation tour to seek the support of key stakeholders and leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across Malumfashi and Kafur Local Government Areas of Katsina State.

Waziri, who visited the areas on Saturday, used the meetings to formally introduce his ambition and outline his policy priorities if elected to represent the constituency at the National Assembly.

Addressing party leaders, the aspirant emphasised his commitment to improving the welfare of APC members across the constituency, noting that a strong political party depends on the well-being of its grassroots supporters.

He disclosed plans to introduce a structured monthly support scheme for party officials, proposing a minimum allowance of N20,000 for office holders to enhance their motivation and livelihoods.

“We will work hand in hand with party members to deliver meaningful development, as they remain the backbone of every successful leadership,” Waziri said.

The aspirant also assured that he would be an active and impactful legislator if elected, pledging to leverage his experience and expertise to attract development opportunities to Malumfashi and Kafur.

“I will not be a passive lawmaker. I will ensure that every available opportunity for development is pursued and delivered to my people,” he added.

Waziri said his decision to contest followed persistent calls from constituents, aligning with his vision to drive meaningful change and development in the area. He pledged to remain committed to ensuring APC’s victory in the forthcoming elections.

He further urged party stakeholders to prioritise competence and the needs of the electorate in selecting candidates, cautioning against decisions influenced by a few individuals at the expense of the wider membership.

“If the preferences of a few are imposed, the larger population may feel sidelined, which could create challenges for the party,” he warned.

Waziri reaffirmed that the APC was founded on principles of justice and inclusiveness, calling on members and leaders to uphold these values for the progress of the party and the broader society.

The aspirant was received by the Chairman of Malumfashi Local Government, Alhaji Muntari Abdullahi, alongside party leaders from Malumfashi and Kafur, political stakeholders, and youths, who expressed support and goodwill towards his ambition.
