The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) on May 14, 2026, held its annual Workshop for Judges on Legal Issues in Telecommunications at the Sheraton Lagos Hotel in Ikeja.

The event brought together judicial officers, legal experts and telecommunications stakeholders to discuss emerging legal and regulatory issues in Nigeria’s telecommunications sector.

Dignitaries at the event included Habeeb A.O. Abiru; Babatunde A. Adejumo; Rimini Makama; Chairman of the NCC Governing Board, Idris Olorunnimbe; and Ibrahim M.M. Saulawa, who represented the Chief Justice of Nigeria.

Others in attendance were Chizua Whyte and Obande Festus Ogbuinya.

The workshop focused on strengthening judicial understanding of legal issues relating to telecommunications regulation, digital innovation and the evolving communications landscape in Nigeria.
