Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has donated three vehicles to the APC Zallah Movement to support its activities and strengthen its grassroots mobilisation across the state ahead of the 2027 elections.

The donation was announced on Friday, August 21, 2026, during the inauguration of the movement’s leadership across Katsina’s 34 local government areas and 361 wards. Governor Radda performed the inauguration at the People’s Square in Katsina.

In addition to the governor’s support, former Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Arc. Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, donated a vehicle and N2 million to the movement. The state Commissioner for Health, Musa Adamu, contributed N1 million, while a member of the Katsina State House of Assembly representing Kankiya also donated N1 million towards the group’s activities.

Speaking at the event, Governor Radda commended members of the APC Zallah Movement for what he described as their commitment and loyalty to the APC and its leaders at all levels, from the national leadership to wards and polling units.

Radda pledged to work closely with the movement to strengthen the APC and secure victory for the party at the grassroots and across the state in the 2027 elections.

The governor said the APC’s victory in the 2023 elections demonstrated the party’s strength, expressing confidence that it would again emerge victorious in 2027.

He also criticised some aspirants seeking political offices in the state, alleging that some of them were more interested in business than genuinely serving the people.

Earlier, Dangiwa described the movement’s leader, Dr Bala Nuhu Kankia, as a young politician committed to integrity, trust and community development.

He said Kankia’s interest was primarily the development of the people and the success of the APC, noting that he had continued to commit his personal resources to the movement’s activities.

Dangiwa pledged continued support for the group within his capacity to enable it contribute to the APC’s success in the 2027 elections.

The Katsina State APC Chairman, Dr Bishir Gambo Saulawa, welcomed the inauguration, saying the movement would provide an opportunity for party members to strengthen cooperation and coordinate their efforts towards electoral victory.

Saulawa said he was familiar with the movement and its founders, adding that its activities were aimed at supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Radda and other APC candidates.

He also praised Kankia for his continued commitment to the party, assuring him of the state APC leadership’s support.

In his remarks, Kankia thanked Governor Radda and other supporters for their backing, saying the movement would continue to mobilise its resources towards securing victory for the APC across all elective positions in the 2027 elections.

He commended Governor Radda for the development projects being implemented by his administration, saying the movement’s support for the APC was partly driven by its desire to see the government complete its ongoing programmes.

Kankia acknowledged that the movement did not have unlimited financial resources but said its members would continue to contribute what they could towards the party’s success.

He also appealed to Governor Radda to support the movement in areas where it lacked the resources to operate effectively, saying such assistance would encourage its members to intensify grassroots mobilisation for the APC.
