The National Youth Congress (NYC) officially inaugurated its newly elected executives for the Katsina State chapter on Thursday, June 19, 2025, in a ceremony held at the Bello Kofar Bai Hall within the State Secretariat.
The swearing-in event witnessed a large turnout of dignitaries, including representatives of civil society organizations, government officials, security agency heads, and members of the general public.
Representing the Chief of Staff to the Governor of Katsina State, Hon. Abdulkadir Mamman Nasir, his deputy delivered a keynote address, urging the new youth leaders to uphold integrity, transparency, and accountability in the discharge of their responsibilities. He further extended the government’s goodwill and prayers for divine guidance as they take on the task of leading youths in the state.
During the ceremony, experts from various universities and institutions presented papers focusing on leadership, governance, and civic engagement. The speakers included Dr. Kabir Umar Musa of Umaru Musa Yar'adua University (UMYU), Aliyu Nasir Kankara from Kankara Institute of Science and Technology (KISTIM), Dr. Jamilu M. Abdulsalam, and Aminu Yusuf Dikko, among others. Their presentations aimed to equip the new executives with strategic insights on youth mobilization and responsible leadership.
In his acceptance speech, the newly inaugurated Chairman, Muhammad Muhammad Mono, pledged to run an inclusive and transparent administration. He emphasized a leadership style devoid of bias or favoritism and called on his fellow executives to unite in advancing the goals of the Congress and elevating the organization to greater heights.
