Katsina APC Stakeholders Pass Vote of Confidence on Governor Radda, Pledge 2027 Victory


The Forum of Chairmen and Caucus Secretaries of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Katsina State has passed a vote of confidence on Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, over his leadership in the last three years.


The decision was made on Tuesday, at the Council Chamber, Muhammadu Buhari House, Katsina, during the submission of a report on the party’s tour of the 15 Federal Constituencies in the state.


Chairman of the Forum, Alh. Salisu Mamman, said the Governor’s administration has recorded progress in infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture and human capital development. 


He noted that the Governor’s style of governance, built on transparency, accountability and inclusiveness, has restored public confidence and brought development to grassroots communities.


Alh. Mamman added that the Forum is fully committed to the Governor’s leadership and expressed support for a victorious outing for the APC in the 2027 General Elections under his guidance.


Mamma also presented the report of the committee’s tour. He said the assignment provided direct engagement with party stakeholders at the grassroots and helped to identify areas of unity and challenges.

According to him, all 34 Local Government Areas have functioning contact and mobilization committees at the LGA, ward and polling unit levels, including structures for youth, women and elders. 


He further pointed out key issues raised during the tour, urging the Governor to study the recommendations as a roadmap to strengthen the party ahead of the elections.


In his response, Governor Dikko Umaru Radda appreciated the stakeholders for their loyalty, dedication and commitment to the party.


He commended them for undertaking the tour and for providing honest feedback from the grassroots, saying such engagement is vital for building a stronger APC.


The Governor charged them to take the unity that has always characterized the party to the 2027 elections. He urged them to mobilize fully for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and for all APC candidates in Katsina State, adding that victory will only come through teamwork and collective effort.


The meeting was attended by Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Abdulkadir Mamman Nasir; State Commissioner for Lands and Physical Planning Dr. Faisal Kaita; Special Adviser on Political Affairs to the Governor on Political Affairs, Hon.Yau Umar Gwajo-Gwajo and Special Adviser on Party Liaison to the Governor, Hon. Shafiu Abdu Duwan.
