The Katsina State Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Hajiya Zainab Musa Musawa, has inspected the ongoing construction of a modern school in Jikamshi town, Musawa Local Government Area, within the Funtua Zone. The project, executed by the Katsina State Government under the leadership of Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, PhD, CON, is part of the administration’s efforts to enhance the education sector and provide quality learning facilities across the state.

The Jikamshi school is one of three modern educational institutions under construction in different senatorial zones. The other two are located in Dumurkul, Daura Local Government Area, and Radda, Charanci Local Government Area. During the inspection, Hajiya Zainab Musa Musawa expressed satisfaction with the quality of work but urged contractors to intensify efforts to ensure timely completion.

She also commended Governor Radda’s commitment to transforming the education sector, emphasizing that the initiative aligns with the Katsina State Education Sector Strategic Plan (SESP). The state government is focused on addressing key challenges such as inadequate school coverage, poor educational quality, and infrastructural deficits. This initiative marks a significant step toward providing quality education and improving learning conditions for students across the state.
