The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has successfully amended its service allocation agreement with Mashariq Al-Dhahabia.

The announcement was made today, Saturday, 22 February 2025, at the Hajj House headquarters in Abuja, following high-level discussions between NAHCON and the Mashariq management team, led by its Chairman, Mr. Muhammad Hassan.

The amendment adjusts the number of Nigerian pilgrims under the government quota to 52,544, aligning with the spaces already booked for the 2025 Hajj. This revision was made possible due to a contractual clause allowing for adjustments.

NAHCON Chairman, Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, emphasized that the decision was made in good faith to ensure smooth Hajj operations. He reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to prioritizing the interests of Nigerian pilgrims.

Mr. Muhammad Hassan assured that Mashariq Al-Dhahabia would maintain the highest service standards, as both parties pledged their commitment to a successful Hajj 2025.

This was disclosed in a statement by Fatima Sanda Usara, Assistant Director of Information and Publication, NAHCON.
