The Katsina State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (KTSCHMA) has reaffirmed its commitment to delivering quality healthcare services across the state, with a stern warning to healthcare providers that fail to meet required standards.

In a decisive move, the agency announced the suspension of K-Dara Specialist Hospital, Katsina, from the state's Contributory Healthcare Scheme for three months, effective June 1, 2025. The suspension follows what the agency described as "multiple infractions" by the facility.

According to a statement signed by the Director General of KTSCHMA, Muhammad Safana, the decision underscores the agency’s zero-tolerance policy towards substandard service delivery and its dedication to protecting patient rights and dignity.

“All accredited healthcare providers under the scheme are expected to adhere strictly to service level agreements, professional ethics, and treatment guidelines,” the statement read. “Any facility found wanting will face necessary disciplinary measures.”

KTSCHMA also disclosed that a special committee has been set up to investigate the infractions at K-Dara Specialist Hospital and recommend any further necessary action.

The agency assured affected enrollees that they would be reassigned to other accredited healthcare providers to ensure continuous access to care without disruption.

KTSCHMA reiterated its mission to provide accessible and affordable healthcare for all, and to ensure consistent improvement in service delivery across its accredited network of providers.
