Katsina, June 4, 2025 – The Katsina State Police Command has announced the deployment of adequate personnel and security assets across the state ahead of the upcoming Eid-el-Kabir festival.
In a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu, the Command said it has made “adequate security arrangements to ensure a peaceful and hitch-free Sallah celebration” under the leadership of Commissioner of Police, CP Bello Shehu.
The police emphasized their readiness to protect lives and property, urging residents to cooperate with security personnel deployed for Sallah special duties across the state.
“We call on parents and guardians to caution their children and wards against engaging in activities that contravene the law,” the statement read.
The Command specifically warned against reckless horse riding, dangerous driving, unlawful gatherings, and substance abuse, which may disrupt public peace.
While issuing a stern warning to individuals or groups with malicious intent, the Command stated that it would not hesitate to take decisive action against any attempts to disturb the peace of the state before, during, or after the celebration.
