The Speaker of the Katsina State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Nasir Yahaya Daura, has extended heartfelt greetings to the Muslim Ummah as they mark Eid-el-Kabir, urging citizens to embrace the values of sacrifice, unity, and obedience exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (AS).

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Aminu Magaji Idris, the Speaker congratulated Muslims across Katsina State and beyond for witnessing the 1446 AH Eid celebration. He described the occasion as a symbol of unwavering submission to the will of Allah and a call for collective compassion and harmony.

“As we commemorate Prophet Ibrahim’s devotion, let us renew our commitment to sacrifice for the greater good of society, uphold unity, and extend compassion to all,” the Speaker stated.

Rt. Hon. Daura called on Nigerians to offer prayers for sustained peace and stability in Katsina State, noting the ongoing efforts by Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda and security agencies in tackling insecurity and banditry. He urged residents to remain law-abiding, vigilant, and cooperative by sharing credible intelligence to aid security operations.

He further highlighted the significance of generosity and brotherhood during Eid, encouraging Muslims to support the less privileged and strengthen communal ties.

“The essence of Eid-el-Kabir transcends festivity; it is a timeless reminder that true progress is built on sacrifice, faith, and collective responsibility,” the Speaker added.

He concluded by praying for divine protection and prosperity for Katsina State and Nigeria, while wishing Muslims a peaceful and joyous Eid celebration.
