This trailblazer obtained a PhD in Conflict Communication and was the first scholar to specialise in this area in Nigeria. She lectured in the Department of Mass Communication, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria from 1999 until the time of her death. She also lectured in BUK (English), KASU and PLASU. Prof Ladi was the first coordinator of ABU Campus FM where she served for 10 years. Before then, she was the Deputy Editor of The Democrat Newspaper Kaduna, News Editor NTA Jos and Public Relations Officer, Nigerian Embassy Atlanta, Georgia, USA.

But beyond these accomplishments, Prof used her skills and knowledge to advance the work of many people including mine.

Her brilliant mind was always available to us when we needed to dissect issues that will advance the cause of nation building in Nigeria . She was a friend and supporter of  @the Daria media and was always , always , willing to support our work  with her expertise and on occasions even getting on a plane to Lagos to help us pull off significant conversations.

I would like  to extend my heartfelt condolences to her family and loved ones . May God have mercy on her and comfort those left behind, amen.
