Zango Youth Endorses Lawal Musa Daura, Says He Can Rescue Katsina from Challenges 

A young politician from Zango Local Government Area of Katsina State, Abubakar Ali Zango, has thrown his weight behind Malam Lawal Musa Daura, describing him as a seasoned and competent leader capable of steering Katsina State out of its current challenges, particularly in the areas of security and economic development.

Zango made the remarks on Friday in an interview with Katsina Times, where he urged the people of the state to critically examine Daura’s long-standing record of experience and expertise, especially in the security sector.

According to him, Malam Lawal Musa Daura is a determined and resilient leader who would spare no effort in addressing insecurity, while also prioritising improvements in healthcare delivery, agriculture, education, and other critical sectors that directly affect the welfare of the people.

He noted that such depth of experience is essential for achieving sustainable development and long-term stability in Katsina State.

The young politician, who hails from the Daura Emirate, also called on youths across the state to reflect on past and present realities in order to properly plan for a better future. He stressed that young people have a crucial role to play in shaping the future of Katsina State.

Zango further commended Daura’s patriotism, leadership style, and commitment to public service, emphasising that his extensive background in security remains one of the most outstanding aspects of his career.

Malam Lawal Musa Daura is a former Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS), where he served Nigeria for several years in various security-related capacities. He has reportedly indicated his intention to contest for the governorship of Katsina State in the 2027 general election, a development that many observers believe could contribute significantly to improved security and economic growth in the state.
