Villages in Jibia Local Government
Katsina, Nigeria As a concerned citizen of Katsina State, hailing from Kaita Local Government, I stand today with a heavy heart to strongly condemn the brutal and senseless killing of innocent lives in Farun Bala and other neighboring villages in Jibia Local Government.
The news of today’s attacks by bandits is not just a tragedy for the families involved, but a blow to the peace and stability of our entire state. No person should have to live in fear within their own home, and no family should have to endure the agony of losing loved ones to such cowardly acts of violence.
Expression of Sympathy
I wish to extend my deepest, most heartfelt sympathies to the families of the deceased. I pray that the Almighty grants you the fortitude and strength to bear these irreparable losses. We grieve with you, and we share in your pain. To those who were injured or displaced, our thoughts and prayers are with you for a swift recovery and a return to safety.
A Call for Action
While we mourn, we must also call for more than just words:
To the Security Agencies: I urge a swift and decisive response to track down the perpetrators and bring them to justice. We need an increased and sustained presence of security personnel in these vulnerable border communities.
To the Government: I call for immediate humanitarian support for the affected families and a renewed commitment to the multi-dimensional strategies required to end this cycle of insecurity.
We are one people in Katsina. When Jibia hurts, Kaita hurts, and the entire state feels the wound. We must remain united and vigilant as we seek a future where every citizen can farm, trade, and sleep in peace.
