RE: COMMENDATION OF PRESIDENT BOLA AHMED TINUBU AND CONGRATULATIONS TO ENG. MUTTAQA RABE DARMA ON HIS APPOINTMENT AS MINISTER OF HOUSING AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT
The Former Councillors Forum of Katsina State wishes to formally express its profound gratitude and heartfelt appreciation to His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for the well-considered appointment of Engr. Muttaqa Rabe Darma as the Honourable Minister of Housing and Rural Development of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
This appointment stands as a clear testament to the President’s visionary and purposeful leadership, as well as his unwavering commitment to identifying and entrusting national responsibilities to competent, experienced, and result-oriented individuals. In Engr. Darma, the President has undeniably chosen a technocrat of proven integrity, administrative capacity, and national outlook—a round peg in a round hole.
Engr. Muttaqa Rabe Darma is no stranger to public service at the highest level. His distinguished tenure as Executive Secretary of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) during the administration of the late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua remains a reference point for excellence, innovation, and institutional strengthening. His wealth of experience, combined with his deep understanding of governance and development dynamics, positions him as a valuable asset in advancing the Renewed Hope Agenda of this administration.
The Forum further commends Engr. Darma for his outstanding performance during the Senate screening process. His articulate presentation, depth of knowledge, and composure under scrutiny not only earned him the confidence of the distinguished Senators but also reaffirmed his readiness to serve the nation with diligence and distinction. Indeed, he has made Katsina State proud.
While extending our warmest congratulations to Engr. Darma on this well-deserved elevation, we also respectfully urge him to foster strong synergy and collaboration with the Katsina State Government under the able leadership of His Excellency, Governor Malam Dikko Umar Radda, PhD. Such cooperation will be instrumental in ensuring the effective implementation of policies and programs that directly impact the lives of the people, particularly in the critical sectors of housing and rural development.
The Former Councillors Forum also seizes this opportunity to unequivocally reiterate its unflinching support and loyalty to the administrations of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and His Excellency, Governor Malam Dikko Umar Radda, PhD.
