A political support group, Tinubu/Dikko Guaranteed 2027 (TDG 2027), has inaugurated its Katsina State leadership structure and unveiled a 10-point strategy aimed at mobilising support for the re-election bids of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Dikko Umaru Radda ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The group disclosed this during a press conference held in Katsina on Tuesday, attended by journalists, including representatives of Katsina Times

Speaking at the event, the State Coordinator of TDG 2027, Arc. Faisal Jafar, said the organisation was established to complement ongoing efforts aimed at securing second-term mandates for President Tinubu and Governor Radda.

According to him, the group will focus on public enlightenment, grassroots mobilisation and promoting the policies and achievements of both the Federal Government and the Katsina State Government.

He noted that the initiative aligns with efforts by the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Muttaqa Rabe Darma, to strengthen political support for the two leaders ahead of the 2027 elections.

“This organisation was created to serve as a platform for public engagement, awareness creation and dissemination of information on developmental projects and programmes implemented by the Tinubu and Radda administrations,” Faisal said.

The group outlined a 10-point operational framework that will guide its activities across the state. The strategies include organising community engagement forums, conducting door-to-door awareness campaigns on government programmes, utilising radio, television and social media platforms to promote policy initiatives, and collaborating with relevant government institutions to publicise developmental projects.

Other components of the strategy include deploying grassroots ambassadors to engage traditional, community and religious leaders, voter education at polling unit level, youth mobilisation programmes, collection of feedback from the 34 local government areas of the state, and the establishment of a public opinion monitoring mechanism.

TDG 2027 further stated that its organisational structure would extend from the state level to local governments, wards and polling units, with appointed officials serving as the group's representatives at various levels.

During the briefing, the organisation highlighted what it described as key achievements of the Tinubu and Radda administrations. These, it said, include the implementation of the Renewed Hope Housing Programme, the establishment of the Katsina State Community Watch Corps (KSCWC), investments in water and irrigation projects, improvements in healthcare services, support for youth and small-scale enterprises, as well as road construction and other infrastructure projects.

The group maintained that the programmes and projects executed by both administrations have positively impacted the lives of citizens and pledged to continue sensitising the public on their perceived benefits.

TDG 2027 also called on supporters and other stakeholders across Katsina State to unite behind its objectives, stressing that its mission is to enhance public awareness of government programmes and encourage greater participation in democratic processes ahead of the 2027 elections.

The group expressed confidence that sustained grassroots engagement and public sensitisation would contribute to strengthening support for both President Tinubu and Governor Radda as political activities gradually build up towards the next general elections.
