Alhaji Shehu Musa Malumfashi has officially taken over as the new Chairman of the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), Katsina State chapter, following a formal handover ceremony held on Saturday, June 21, 2025.

In his address during the event, Alhaji Shehu expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah and to members of the Forum for the confidence reposed in him and other newly elected executives. He assured members of his commitment to responsible, fair, and inclusive leadership.

“It is with deep humility that I accept the responsibility of leading ACF Katsina. Alongside my colleagues, we are determined to uphold the trust placed in us and deliver on our collective mandate,” he stated.

Alhaji Shehu commended the efforts of the founding members of the Forum and acknowledged key contributors who played vital roles in laying the foundation of the organization in Katsina. He specifically praised Wazirin Katsina, Distinguished Senator Ibrahim Ida, for his relentless efforts, and Wazirin Kankia, Alhaji Lawal Ibrahim Kankia, for successfully coordinating the affairs of the Forum during the interim leadership.

“They made immense sacrifices—both in time and effort—to ensure the Forum was properly structured and active in Katsina State,” he said.

He reassured members that the new leadership would respect all voices and not discriminate based on election outcomes.

“This is a family. We will show no bias or neglect. Every member will be treated with respect and given what is due to them,” he emphasized.

Highlighting the Forum’s commitment to collective decision-making, Alhaji Shehu said the leadership would be guided by the aspirations of members, not personal interests.

“Our direction will be shaped by the ideas and concerns of our members. What benefits Katsina, the North, and Nigeria will be our focus,” he added.

He called on senior members and stakeholders to continue supporting the Forum, acknowledging the vibrant contributions of members through various platforms.

“The level of engagement and idea-sharing, especially on our WhatsApp group, reflects the passion of our members for progress,” he noted.

Alhaji Shehu also pledged collaboration with the Katsina State Government, describing it as open to citizens’ input and committed to people-centered policies.

“We are ready to work hand in hand with the government in delivering development and prosperity to the people of Katsina,” he said.

He concluded by thanking all members for their support before and after the election, promising that the new executive team would strive to achieve the goals of the Forum with integrity and unity.
