The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Katsina State has elected Ambassador Muhammad Dansanta Rimi as its new State Chairman following a congress held on Thursday in Katsina metropolis.
The congress, held at the Munaj Events Hall, brought together party stakeholders across the state to deliberate on leadership restructuring and internal consolidation ahead of future elections.
Party officials said the emergence of the new executive was achieved through consensus among competing interests within the party, a development described as part of ongoing reconciliation efforts aimed at strengthening unity and cohesion within the state chapter.
A representative of the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja monitored the exercise to ensure compliance with ADC’s internal guidelines and democratic procedures.
Speaking at the event, party leaders expressed optimism that the newly elected leadership would reposition the ADC in Katsina State and enhance its preparedness for upcoming political engagements.
